Path & Programming

This exercise is designed to help you trace how past experiences have shaped your current beliefs and "programming." By identifying these patterns, you can consciously choose to re-program any faulty beliefs and create a new path forward.

Instructions for Use:

This table is a tool for deep self-reflection. To get the most out of it, follow these steps:

​​​​​​​​​

​​​​1. Work Chronologically: Begin with the earliest time frames and significant events you can remember.

 

2. Be Honest: Answer each column as honestly as you can, without judgment. There are no right or wrong answers.

 

3. Fill Each Column:

 

  • Time Frame: Fill in the approximate time period (e.g., "Childhood," "High School," "First Job").

 

  • What Happened?: Describe the event briefly but with enough detail for you to remember it clearly. This can be a major event or a small, recurring one.

 

  • What Feelings Did This Experience Create?: Identify the emotions you felt during and after the event. This is crucial for understanding the impact.

 

  • What Seeds Were Planted?: What core beliefs or values did this event establish? This could be positive (e.g., "The seed of hard work was planted") or negative (e.g., "The seed of 'I am not enough' was planted").

 

  • What Lessons Were Learned?: What did you consciously or subconsciously learn from this event?

 

  • What Lies/Faulty Programming Remain?: Look at your current behavior and identify any negative patterns or beliefs that seem to stem from this experience.

 

  • What New Belief Can I Plant?: This is the most important part. Create a new, positive, and empowering belief that directly contradicts the faulty programming you just identified. This is the new "truth" you want to cultivate.

 

4. Review and Reflect: After filling out the table, take time to review your entries. You may see patterns or connections

    you didn't notice before.

5. Focus on Re-Programming: Choose one "New Belief" to focus on each week. Write it down, say it out loud, and find

    ways to prove it true in your daily life.
