Programs
EquiAble was founded on the principle that independence is a journey that requires a community. We focus on three core areas of support:
Pathways to Independence
For neurodivergent youth (16+) and neurodivergent adults, transitioning to independence is often overwhelming. EquiAble provides a 12-month certificate program that combines intensive life-skills training with 1-on-1 coaching. In Addition to training, we assist with the critical "invisible" steps to adulthood, such as obtaining government identification, setting up banking, navigating provincial assistance (EIA/MSP), and securing stable housing.
-
The "Open-Door" Policy: We provide a permanent physical space where graduates can return for mentorship or crisis support, ensuring that no one is ever "timed out" of our community.

Circle of Support: Parents/Caregivers
We believe parents are the most important—and often most marginalized—resource in a neurodivergent person's life. EquiAble provides:
-
The Family Safety Net: Active advocacy and future-planning for families aging out of child services (CDS) who do not qualify for adult provincial supports (CLdS).
-
The Resource Hub: A physical office in Winnipeg where families can get direct help navigating provincial systems like EIA and housing.
Professional Alignment: Frontline & Leadership Training
To ensure high standards of care, we provide specialized training that aligns the diverse backgrounds of our workforce with Canadian neuro-affirming standards.
-
Beyond Race Training: Helping leadership teams understand the cultural frameworks of their staff to reduce turnover and improve client safety.
-
Frontline Onboarding: Equipping newcomer workers with the specific communication and behavioral literacy skills needed for excellence in the Manitoba care sector.
